2021 Fire on the Plains

Fire on the Plains is a collaborative effort to bring cost effective, high quality, hands-on training to the first responders of the eastern plains of Colorado. This year we have re-tooled some of our offerings and added a few that folks have requested. We are also collaborating with Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado this year. This event is designed to provide basic skills introduction to newer firefighters as well as giving the seasoned firefighter the ability to explore new concepts. Each session will provide the opportunity for students to work on specific Job Performance Requirements (JPR) for certification maintenance. This year we offer firefighter and the driver/operator training as well as many specialty classes in both the wildland and structural worlds. Students can choose from several multiday, full day, 4-hour and 2-hour sessions. The student may pick and choose which sessions they wish to attend. Students may attend for the entire weekend or just one day. Meals are included in the price of tuition.
